The notary's costs (similar to the costs of the land registry and the commercial register) are regulated in Germany in a uniform and binding manner in the Court and Notary Costs Act (Gerichts- und Notarkostengesetz, GNotKG), so that there are no differences in costs when using notarial services in Germany. Thus, it does not matter for the notary's costs whether a notary in Berlin-Mitte or a more rural notary's office is consulted.
